When & Where

Date & Time:
Monday, 29 June - Tuesday, 30 June 2026
Location: GC Europe Campus, Interleuvenlaan 35, 3001 Leuven, Belgium
Duration: 1.5 days
Admission: Mobile eTicket
Trainer:
Dr. Adriano Teixeira and Dr Simone Moretto

Aims and Objectives:

Aims
To provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the Injection Moulding Technique (IMT) and the clinical use of fibre-reinforced materials in restorative and minimally invasive prosthetic dentistry.
To integrate theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on experience by guiding participants through the complete workflow of restoring a missing lateral incisor using a fibre-reinforced cantilever bridge and IMT.
To enhance clinicians’ ability to perform predictable, aesthetic, and conservative restorations using modern adhesive dentistry principles.

Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

Theoretical (Lectures)

Understand the scientific principles behind the Injection Moulding Technique and its indications in restorative dentistry.
Describe the physical and mechanical properties of fibre-reinforced composites and how they can be used for reinforcement, replacement of missing structures, and minimal-preparation bridges.
Recognise the clinical indications, advantages, and limitations of cantilever fibre bridges in the aesthetic zone.
Understand the role of opaques, dentin, and enamel composite layers in achieving optical invisibility and natural aesthetics.

Clinical & Hands-On (Practical Session)

Learn to design and stabilise a fibre framework for a cantilever bridge replacing a lateral incisor.
Perform a core build-up using highly opaque composites to mask the fibre and create the internal anatomy.
Apply enamel shades using the injection moulding technique to achieve a natural external morphology.
Execute a full adhesive workflow: isolation, bonding, fibre positioning, injection, finishing, and polishing.

9 CPD hours, GDC learning outcome level C

Learning Outcomes

After completing the course, participants will be able to:

Plan and execute a minimally invasive cantilever fibre-reinforced bridge for a missing anterior tooth.
Select and manipulate fibre materials appropriately for reinforcement and prosthetic support.
Apply the Injection Moulding Technique to build the outer anatomy with predictable shape and high aesthetics.
Create natural optical results by combining opaque, dentin, and enamel composite materials.
Demonstrate confidence in managing the full workflow: diagnosis, planning, fibre placement, composite build-up, injection, finishing, and polishing.
Evaluate the final restoration in terms of strength, integration, aesthetics, and long-term prognosis.
Translate the skills learned in the hands-on session into daily clinical practice for similar restorative and prosthetic cases.

Historic Leuven

Leuven, Belgium, is a vibrant city where centuries-old tradition meets youthful energy. Anchored by KU Leuven—one of Europe’s oldest and most prestigious universities—the city is an inviting tapestry of history, academia, and relaxed city life. The Gothic spires of the Town Hall and the serene beauty of Saint Peter’s Church set the tone for a stroll through cobbled streets lined with cafés and boutiques.

But when the sun sets, Leuven truly comes alive. The iconic Oude Markt, often dubbed “the longest bar in the world,” transforms into a buzzing hub of nightlife, with student bars, cozy pubs, and cocktail lounges lining the square shoulder to shoulder.
