Injection Moulding Workflow with Dr Kaveer Ratan - Thursday 20th February 2025
As the son of a dentist, passion for dentistry runs in Dr Ratan’s blood.
After graduating with his dental degree from the University of the Western Cape – an institution renowned for producing phenomenal dentists – Dr Ratan spent three years providing much needed dental care to the rural community of Pongola. In that time, he managed to build a thriving oral care centre for the impoverished people of Highlands Village.
At the same time, he managed to complete an intensive three-year postgraduate diploma in Oral Surgical and Prosthetic Implantology at the University of Pretoria.
After receiving his postgraduate qualifications, Dr Ratan moved on to work at a private practice in Hillcrest, Durban. Here, he had the opportunity to flex his advanced skills, cosmetic dentistry and he placed and restored implants – procedures that require high-level technical skills.
In 2016, Dr Ratan relocated to beautiful Cape Town to work at a sophisticated and technologically advanced dental studio. He runs his own practice in advance restorative and implant dentistry. To keep up with the fast-paced changes in the field of dentistry, continuing education is essential. Dr Ratan is continuously attending courses and lectures, both locally and internationally, to improve his advanced techniques and increase his skillset.
