About your trainer: Dirk Galle 
 
Dirk graduated from the Dental Institute Anneessens, Brussels in 1995. While working in Germany, Australia and Belgium he specialized in fixed prosthesis and veneered superstructures on implants and aesthetical restorations.  
 
Between 1999 and 2003 Dirk worked as a ceramic trainer for a large ceramic production company in Belgium/Luxembourg.  
 
Since 2003 he works as a Technical and Training Manager for GC Europe and helped with the development from GC Initial 
 
Dirk is a specialist in the field of: 
Polychromatic build-up technique for ceramics and micro ceramic composites. 
Individual layering and aesthetical rehabilitations especially on zirconium and Lithium-disilicate structures. 
Large superstructures on implants with focus on zirconium in combination with natural pink gingival ceramic. 
With over 1000 ceramic courses on his record, Dirk is a professional ceramic trainer and a frequent worldwide asked speaker at Symposiums & Universities.

Course Aims: 

To teach participants a step by step process for creating highly individualised Zr framework with hints and tips from design to finish using GC's Initial Zr and Painting Solutions - including the new Initial Zr Colouring Liquids. 
To provide an opportunity to a highly interactive learning environment via lecture, demonstrations and hands on experience which provides the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge and hints and tips and enables technicians to confidently introduce their learnings immediately into their labs. 

Course Objectives: 

Gain an understanding of the philosophy behind GC's Initial Zircxonia and Painting Solutions - the material properties, indications and technical handling (firing temperatures etc) 
Learn the CAD parameters for a microlayered bridge 
Put learnings into practice in hands on characterisation at every step of bridge preparation: green state - carving and colouring liquids, post sintering - internal characterisation using Initial Lustre Paste One, Micro layering with Initial IQ One Sqin 
Benefit from hints and tips to avoid common pit falls and how best to work with the materials for consistently outstanding results. 
Complete a demonstration model of a 4 unit Zr bridge with gingiva (2 units completed to post sintered stage and 2 units to microlayered finish)
